Delta 9 Gummies FAQ
Does THC affect serotonin?
Low serotonin—the “feel-good hormone”—can precipitate the onset of anxiety and depression. Like antidepressants, small amounts of cannabis can increase the amount of serotonin in the brain.
While microdosing THC can lead to increased serotonin levels, higher doses of THC can have the opposite effect. Our Relax Plus gummies have low amounts of Delta 9 that uplift, while a tad higher ratio of CBD produces a calming effect. These edibles are perfect if you’re struggling with stress or anxiety.
Is CBD a drug?
With FDA approval of some medicine that contains hemp-derived CBD (Epidiolex), we can say that CBD is technically a drug. However, it does not have the effects you would normally expect from a drug.
We like to think of CBD as a powerful tool to treat a plethora of conditions without the fear of nasty side effects, dependency, or addiction.
Should I take CBD if I have anxiety?
According to the National Institute of Health, many studies have shown that CBD can reduce stress and alleviate anxiety symptoms. Recent research shows that cannabidiol interacts with the serotonin receptors in your endocannabinoid system, known as the "happy chemical," to regulate its functionality. The study revealed that CBD is good for treating anxiety disorders like:
- generalized anxiety disorder
- panic disorder
- social anxiety disorder
If you struggle with social interactions, public speaking, or other panic-inducing situations, CBD can help. Since it has no psychoactive effects, it’s unlikely that CBD will produce a high, which makes it ideal for daily use.
At a low dose, start with as little as 5 mg a day for uplifting, daytime use. Remember, low doses can go a long way. Shop our delicious edibles with CBD (some products in the collection also contain hemp-derived Delta 9) and find your new best anxiety-reducing friend.
What is the difference between Delta 8 vs Delta 10?
Delta 8 and Delta 10 are isomers of one another, which means that while they are similar chemically, their chemical structures vary slightly. This gives them slightly different biological properties and functions.
Delta 8 and Delta 10 THC isomers are found in small amounts in the cannabis plant. Delta 9 is a main cannabinoid, whereas Delta 8 and Delta-10 are minor cannabinoids (found in much lower concentrations).
Regardless of these distinctions, Delta 8, Delta 9, and Delta-10 all have psychoactive effects on the body and have the potential to interact with the endocannabinoid system.
Is Delta 9 an indica or sativa?
Delta 9 THC is found in both indica and sativa strains of cannabis plants. Our Delta 9 products contain hybrid strains that combine the benefits of both indica and sativa. For more info on why we opt for hybrid cannabis over indica or sativa, see our guide to sativa vs indica edibles.
